Burger Dude: Pilot (The Burginning)
Local grumpy and short-tempered superhero, Burger Dude must attend a college and get a degree in order to keep his superhero license due to a new city law, where it is now mandatory to have an education. He must navigate and balance his life through the surreal chaos of college and superhero duties.
Jackson Chaddock is a 2D illustrator and animator based in the UK, whose directorial debut was the adult animated pilot, 'Burger Dude' at the University of Staffordshire, it was also one of six projects greenlit at the University out of a class of twenty-four. The film showcases Jackson's quirky, colourful character design and unique comedic storytelling focusing on everyday life in college with witty satire and a surreal twist.
Burger Dude has gone on to receive an Official Nomination at the Reale Film Festival, a Special Mention at the Global Shorts Awards, an Official Selection at the Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival, an Official Selection at Stafford Film Festival, and a Semi-Finalist at Dumbo Film Festival and Stockholm City Film Festival.
