Best AI Generated Film drew the deepest field of the 2026 edition. Twelve titles were selected in the category, and the jury returned six honourable mentions, more than in any other category this year.

The award went to Gentle, directed by Alex Naghavi in the United States. The honourable mentions went to August 32nd by Yunbin An, Godcasting by Florent Agostini, Railbound by Jonathan Perry, Ratvertising by Blanca de Frutos, The Sack Grandpa by Seulki An, Hyuna Kim, Soyeon Lee, Chaeyeon Hong and Gahyun Lee, and ZERO by Dongha Oh.

The category was introduced because the tools were already in the hands of filmmakers and the work deserved to be judged on the same terms as everything else in the programme. Every entry is scored point by point by the jury, and the awards rest on those scores.
